We have a law firm that helps us with IV: thawerlaw.com
The immigration attorney is Kimberly Kinser. She did a live Q&A session for our members. I don't have case experience from them, but I know they are good people. :)

I was under the impression that they send only one notice for each case and that too to the attorney. My attorney has send me a mail that he received the receipt notices and the original would have been sent to the employer. In case the employer has not received,he will send me a copy.
Do i need to have the original receipts.I have a valid L1 stamping and planning to travel early next month.I heard that i need to have atleast receipt notices if i dont have the AP approval by then.

Hi All,
I found this link from Delta airlines which tells you in detail about the transit visa requirements when travelling via a 3rd country. Thought this might be helpful to those who are planning to travel. You fill in your nationality, country of residence, destination country and connecting country and it will give your transit visa requirements in detail.

Some light coming up in the tunnel. Hope its not that of an oncoming train.
Unless some political goof up turns, economy seems to be getting brighter and brighter. This might help translate into more jobs and opportunities..

The USCIS has announced that most employment-based (EB) immigrant petitions (I-140s) will be eligible for premium processing starting June 29, 2009. We link to the USCIS Update from our "Premium Processing" page at http://shusterman.com/toc-premium.html#2 Premium processing will be available for EB-1 Persons of Extraordinary Ability and Outstanding Professors and Researchers; EB-2 petitions which are not for National Interest Waivers; and EB-3 petitions for Professionals, Skilled and Unskilled Workers. The only EB I-140s which are specifically excluded from the program are (1) visa petitions for Multinational Executives and Managers under the EB-1 category and (2) National Interest Waivers under the EB-2...

Born in Germany to Holocaust survivors who immigrated in the 1950s, Minnesota Vikings owner Zygi Wilfis certainly has lived the American dream. His parents were amongst the very first beneficiaries of the US refugee admissions policy enacted in the wake of World War II and the Wilfs were able to start their lives again and build a highly successful real estate business. Zygi Wilf had an opportunity to buy a piece of the New York Jets nearly 40 years ago and passed, but when he had the chance again recently, he went for it. Mr. Wilf is also a major...

Dear Members,
Recently my husband had received an RFE on I-485 requesting information about his employment verification letter. He had sent all documents back to USCIS and today, I saw an update on my case. The message read that case processing resumed and there will be a decision or update made in 60 days.
Do you know what kind of decision they usually make? Is it normal to have such statements written up for a denial or approval?
Any words of comfort would help. My husband is the primary applicant.
Thanks a ton!
Augustus.

Here is my situation, I will file for I-485 on July 1st.....but on July 21 I have to leave U.S....and my question is:
Can you leave the country as soon as you filed for I-485? or you have to wait for I-485 reciept?...I know it's mandatory to stay in U.S at the time of filing for I-485.....And is it true that after you file for I-485 you can leave U.S without any problems?
Please advise me.
Thank you in advance!

Basically everyone has experienced at least one version of the Falling Snow tutorial It just so happens that you can see the progress that ActionScript has made as a language as well as the progress that Kirupa has made in making tutorials. :trout:
I went with the 2.0-style snow because it translates best into shirt form. Enjoy!

Friends,
I need a clarification on EAD card usage. If your spouse whio has an independent H1B visa and whose 485 and EAD application is dependent on you, changes the work status from H1B to EAD, then does the status of the primary applicant also change to EAD automatically. Since the spouse's application was not independent filed and was a dependent on the original applicant for both 485 and EAD applications. I want make sure that the primary applicant's status ( separate independent H1B ) is not changed from H1B to EAD, just because of the spouse starting to use the EAD ( who is a dependent filer on primary applicant for both AOS and EAD ). Would appreciate your inputs.
Thanks.

I'm on H1b visa in my 6th year. Perm application has been filed and I hope to get it approved soon along with approved i-140 (fingers crossed).
From what I have read on this forum so far, H1b transfer to a new job after an approved I-140 seems to be possible even after 6 years on H1. My issue is that I currently work for a university (non-quota H1) so if I get a new job most likely it will be with a for profit company which would require me to get a new H1 (and not H1 transfer).
So, the question is whether it is possible to get a new H1 after 6 years on H1?
Thanks for any help.
